Why this bag
72 litres of waterproof storage for expedition-length trips. The biggest bag we make.
Seventy-two litres is expedition volume. It is the size you reach for when the packing list includes a tent, when the trip is measured in weeks, or when you are riding two-up and one bag has to carry both sets of gear.
The alternative is three smaller bags bungeed together, which works right up until the first rough section, when they start moving independently and you spend the rest of the day stopping to re-tighten straps. One bag does not do that.
Construction is sealed and fully waterproof, so monsoon rain and water crossings are handled rather than survived. The mounting straps go on fast and stay tight. Reflective material runs along the body, which matters because on a fully loaded bike your tail light is the smallest part of what a driver behind you actually sees.
Honest advice: most riders are better served by the 50 L. Seventy-two litres of empty space is an invitation to overload the bike. Buy this one if you genuinely need it.

Questions riders ask
72L or 50L?
50 L covers a long weekend or a week of clothes. 72 L is for camping kit, multi-week trips, or riding two-up where one bag carries both sets of gear. If you are hesitating, most riders find 50 L is enough and the extra 22 L just tempts them to overload the bike.
Do I need a rear rack?
Not strictly, it straps to the pillion seat and grab rails. But at 62 cm loaded to 72 L, a rack makes a real difference to stability. We would fit one.
This or the Wanderlust Rear Bag?
The Wanderlust Rear Bag expands to 80 L, has a 1000D shell, YKK weather-sealed zips and three included dry bags, for about 2600 rupees more. This is the simpler, tougher, cheaper option. Both are waterproof.
Will it fit my Himalayan or Xpulse?
