Aluminium, plastic and composite tanks are standard on modern adventure bikes, and no magnetic bag will hold on them. Adjustable straps do, on any bike.

Questions riders ask
Magnetic or Non Magnetic?
Hold a fridge magnet to your tank. If it does not stick, this is your only option. If it does stick, the magnetic version is faster on and off, but this one is more secure on rough ground.
Will the straps scratch my tank?
The base is padded and anti-slip. Keep the underside clean. As with any strap-mounted bag, grit trapped between the base and the paint is what causes marks, not the straps themselves.
Does it interfere with the handlebars?
At 36 cm wide it is a substantial bag. On bikes with a short tank or low bars, check you still have full lock-to-lock steering with the bag expanded before you ride.
Can I use it as a backpack?
Yes. Conversion straps are included.
